How many breaks is an employee supposed to get in texas?
In Texas, there is no law (nor is there any federal law) governing coffee breaks (10-15 mins) or lunch breaks (30-60), which means employers in that state do not legally HAVE to give you any breaks at all. Most companies have a policy stating what breaks employees are entitled to (ie: 15 mins after 5 hrs), so you'll have to check your company handbook. There is nothing that you can do legally to force them to give you a break under Texas or federal law.
